PSO of Ex-NC legislator injured in accidental fire at Anantnag | KNO

Srinagar, March 17 (KNO) : A personnel security officer (PSO) of former National Conference Member Legislative Council was injured after his weapon went off accidentally resulting in an injury to his shoulder, police sources told KNO. The cop was identified as Jehangir Ahmed, was cleaning his weapon when it went off accidentally with the bullet piercing his shoulder. “He was shifted to district hospital Anantnag for treatment,” sources said. The incident happened at a time when NC vice-president Omar Abdullah was in the area to address a rally at Dak Bunglow Anantnag and all the NC leaders were preparing for the grand welcome of Omar.(KNO)
